Recipes for Soft, delicious and moist Chocolate Cake. We love Chocolate Cakes and it can add delight to any occasion. Do you know you can prepare moist chocolate cake in pressure cooker and do not need any oven for this? This recipe is useful for those who do not have an oven and yet want to prepare chocolate cake at home. The result will be unavailable. I will teach you simple Chocolate Cake recipe that you can make at home without using a pressure cooker.

Ingredients

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp instant coffee

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup plus 6 tbsp flour (212 grams)

6 tsp cocoa powder

1 cup sugar

1/4 cup oil (or canola)

1 tsp vanilla essence/extract

1 egg

1/2 cup hot water

1/2 cup regular milk

8 inch round cake pan

Preparation

Use lid of biscuit box or small size baking pan or a steel pan as a base.

Take 8 inch round cake or baking pan and spray with butter or oil. Place a parchment paper or butter paper on it.  Take the pressure cooker and remove weight from the lead. We use the pressure cooker without the weight because there will be no liquid inside the cooker.  Leave the rubber ring in pressure cooker as it is and remove the filter from it.

Now stake the pressure cooker and spread 1 cup of salt evenly at the base. This will prevent the surface of the cooker from burning. Now cover the pressure cooker and preheat for 15 minutes. For first 5 minutes preheat on medium flame and then preheat on low flame for another 10 minutes.

Now sift dry ingredients together. Add all purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, baking powder together and sift finely so that it gets filtered. Now add sugar to it and mix it well.

Take ½ cup water and heat in microwave for 40 seconds. Add half teaspoon instant coffee in hot water and mix well. Now add oil, vanilla essence, egg, full fat milk into the already prepared dry ingredients i.e. all purpose flour mix and beat them well on slow speed. Add little bit of coffee water to the mix and beat it slowly so that the coffee water get blended into the mix. Add the rest of the coffee water in portions and keep beating them well.  Adding coffee water will increase the taste of the cake and will make it delicious.

Now add the mixed batter into the round cake pan and tap the pan lightly to remove all the air bubbles from the batter. Now bake it on medium flame for first 5 minutes and bake for 30-35 minutes on low flame afterwards.

If you are using a gas stove then cook for 35 to 35 minutes on low flame. But if you are using an electric stove then bake for 50-60 minutes. After cooking insert a knife straight into the cake and take it out. Please check and ensure that the batter does not stick to the knife. If you see the cake batter sticking to the knife then you need to cook it little more until it is done.

Once the cake is perfectly done wait for the pan to cool and remove cake from pan. You will find the cake to be soft and spongy. Now remove the butter paper and let it cool.

Now let’s see how to assemble and decorate the cake. We need sugar syrup, chocolate cake and chocolate frosting for decorating.  First, Cut the chocolate cake into round loaves. Take 10 inch of Cake board and grease it with chocolate frosting. Now place a layer of chocolate cake and pour sugar syrup on it nicely. Now, add chocolate frosting on top of it as per your liking and spread it using a spatula. Now add the second layer and follow the same procedure.

Now cover the whole cake with chocolate frosting. This is a very simple chocolate cake recipe at home and it is very tasty and delicious.
